I’m sure you all know what spam is and it happens all over the place. It’s in our inbox, our message boxes on Facebook sometimes, on Facebook groups and pages – but did you know that spammers are now taking advantage of tagging to spam people! And this is something we really can’t protect ourselves from. Check out this great video (it’s only about 6 minutes long) about how NOT to market yourself on Facebook:
I like how she stresses that you have to build trust in a website/Facebook Page/blog – whatever – before you will go on to actually do any reading there. Personally, if I smell even the slightest hint of spam, I’m out of there. If I feel the coldness of pyramids or MLM marketing, I run to warmer sites. And what this guy has done is all of the above.
Has this ever happened to you? If it has, what did you do about it?

Do you love the look of this blog? Want your blog to look this hot? Then I'll tell you my secret! First, the blog theme I use is Thesis. It is very customizable PLUS it is great for your on page SEO!
Second, I'm using a blog skin (strangely enough it is called Blog Skin) from Thesis Awesome.

The combination of these two great blogging tools makes it easy for me to change up the look of my blog. I have to warn you though - using Thesis may turn you into a Thesis snob! It did for me!

Hey Danielle ~
It’s great that you’ve posted this very worthwhile Facebook training. I’ve been tagged so many times in photos, videos, etc. by people I don’t know and have never connected with on any level that I’ve literally stopped counting.
At best, this unprofessional behavior is frustrating — not to mention disgusting.
This sort of thing has happened to me on Twitter, too. People have used my Twitter ID and posted links to their sales pages, web sites, and even porno venues.
I want to scream when I see those Tweets showing up in my Twitter stream!
What to do is, of course, is BLOCK these people. And, in some instances, you can report them to admin for the respective social media sites.
Where there’s a way to spam, there’s a will.

I guess wherever we go there’s always a spam. It’s part of the internet world. Specifically in Facebook, there are a lot of spam. What i usually do is report it to the admin. It’s just one click to do it.
