Have you been dying to get some private clients under your belt?  If you have, you should read my post on Getting Private Clients first.  Go ahead, it will open in a new window and I’ll be here waiting when you’re done. :)

Now that you’ve read that you’re likely thinking, “I just don’t have the time to do that!” But it doesn’t have to take that much time.  You can cut down on time a lot if you use some organization techniques make it go faster.

I could tell you how to do this but I figure you’ll find it a lot more enjoyable if you can see me do it!  So, I’ve created this little tutorial for you.  Hopefully, you’ll find this helpful.

BTW – I can’t take credit for the idea of how to do this.  I first read about it at Freelance Writing Gigs where Carly Schuna blogged about Being a Craigslist Millionaire.  I’m not doing it exactly the way she’s suggested but I’ve used most of her ideas.  Thanks Carly!

I'm a social media junkie and professional freelance writer living in small town Manitoba, Canada. I drink a lot of coffee and love my computer (named Garcia after Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds - the ultimate girl geek!), my kids, my husband, and my cats. In 10 years I hope to be that crazy lady travelling across Canada and the States with her three cats and her loving hubby. :) If you're interested in my professional services please visit my professional writer's site to find out more about my services or check out some testimonials from some of my clients.

Do you love the look of this blog? Want your blog to look this hot? Then I'll tell you my secret! First, the blog theme I use is Thesis. It is very customizable PLUS it is great for your on page SEO!

Thesis Theme for WordPress: Options Galore and a Helpful Support Community

Second, I'm using a blog skin (strangely enough it is called Blog Skin) from Thesis Awesome.

The combination of these two great blogging tools makes it easy for me to change up the look of my blog. I have to warn you though - using Thesis may turn you into a Thesis snob! It did for me!

Danielle, hi! This is Carly. Google Alerts just sent me an e-mail notifying me that you had used my link in your post. I watched your tutorial and wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it! I’m so glad you’re spreading this process around, as I really think it can benefit a lot of writers or help them streamline their search processes. Thanks so much for picking up my ideas and for linking back to give me and Freelance Writing Gigs credit. It’s wonderful to know that you found my process useful. Good luck with finding future gigs! :)
