Yesterday I was supposed to go to my sister’s for a barbeque. I wasn’t expecting anything special. Instead I got a surprise birthday party (it was my birthday a couple months ago but I wasn’t here). I know this is totally off topic but take a look at some of the things my family bought me!

This is a funny comic about getting distracted on the Internet

~ To be able to move on, one has to learn to forgive not only the person (or people) who have done one wrong but also oneself ~ Eugenia Triputti
Why do people move? I mean, besides the usual reasons like a new house or a new job? I mean, it is such a pain in the butt! I have boxes all over my house and there are so many things that I can’t find. I actually had to go out and buy new underwear because I couldn’t find mine! LOL – of course I found them in the most obvious place after I bought more – in the closet!
But really, moving is horrible. It makes people cranky. It makes people crazy. It makes the whole household feel like it is up in the air.
I think that moving is a way of forcing ourselves to move on. The idea of starting from scratch is always so appealing. Let go of past hurts, start with a fresh attitude. But it only works if everyone is ready to embrace the concept. It doesn’t work so well when some want to hang on to every hurt and piece of frustration. It only takes one person to continue carrying around past hurts. If others don’t let go it is hard for you to do the same.
Have you ever experienced this?
BTW – I am in my new home and things are a little crazy so posting could be erratic. You could find several updates one day and then nothing for a few days. :) But I should have it together by the end of the week.

A few days ago I talked about putting together an e-book site that anyone can participate in and sell their e-books and we all can promote. There has been quite a bit of interest from new and established writers alike and I’m working on putting the site together so we can all make it work.
One thing I’ve come across though is that the new ones don’t really know where to get started. And I found this great e-book on putting together your first e-book in 14 days. I think this would be a great basis for a project! Click the link below to go and download it and see what you think:

Now, here’s the thing. As much as I would love to get this going asap I have already committed to doing TWO blog challenged over the course of August and into September. So, what would you all think if we got a group of us together and did this in October?
This is just and idea so far so don’t get excited but I just want to see what kind of interest there is out there. Leave a comment if you’d like to do something like this!
